Interim / Locum Senior Commercial Litigator
Overview
Due to growth and continued success, a highly regarded firm in Birmingham are looking to appoint an experienced Locum Senior Commercial Litigator to their team whilst they continue with their permanent recruitment. The successful candidate will be working across the firms various sectors dealing with and managing high value, highly complex multi-track litigation. This will include the likes of contract disputes, judicial reviews acting for local authorities, as well as other various claims, breach of employment restrictive covenants, vicarious liability, defamation claims, social media/reputation related matters. You will be responsible for handling the entire litigation process to include working in specialist court divisions such as The Business and Property Courts and the Circuit Commercial Court. In addition, you will also manage a variety of property litigation matters, acting for some of the firms key clients in a range of disputes including possessions claims (commercial premises), L&T asset management issues, forfeiture, break notices, recovery of rent, service change disputes, alienation issues and commercial lease renewals. It is essential that you are a qualified solicitor with around 6 years PQE with sound experience of dealing with a variety of complex litigation matters and that you are available at short notice. The role is expected to run for 3-4 months but it does have the potential to be extended further. This role is paying a competitive hourly rate, is based in central Birmingham and walking distance to all major transport links.
