In-House Advocate Solicitor
Overview
This fast-growing York-based law firm is looking for a solicitor who is a specialist in advocacy, advisory and drafting services to provide support and assistance to solicitors and fee earners managing caseloads in what is a busy and varied practice. You will be dealing in complex civil litigation; primarily in the fields of financial mis-selling, consumer credit, construction and landlord and tenant. You will also be responsible for developing litigation strategies both alone and as part of a team with a focus on providing advice, drafting services and court representation in both interim and final hearings. You will also support the wider team who are managing their caseload. The successful advocate solicitor will be: A qualified solicitor with higher rights of audience Experienced in conducting advocacy Experience of handling a full caseload and dealing with litigated files Confident in attending trials & hearings.
