Overview

Remit Group are recruiting on the behalf of Netserve Ltd who provide outsourced IT Solutions to small and medium businesses across the South. They're on the lookout for a computer literate individual who can get invovled with maintenance and repair of IT. As IT Technical Support Apprentice with Netserve LTD you may be required to work in a variety of different ways including; on site where you will be working within the main business, directly with staff members. You could also be working remotely, where you could be staffing an IT help desk, answering calls and emails. This would require you to resolve problems by guiding clients through programmes or you may be required to access their computers remotely and resolve the problem for them. You could be working as part of a team within a company, or may be providing support to external business clients. Responsibilities may vary depending on the employer but duties for this role usually include: Support senior members by working with clients to understand details of faults Learn how to professionally resolve faults and explain to the client the work you have carried out Deal with any fixing and maintaining of equipment, such as printers, laptops, scanners and PCs Assisting with system upgrades and setting up new devices Support with the recording of problems within various CRM systems so that task histories can be reviewed Provide an overall excellent customer service Identify the need for system and equipment updates. Personal Qualities: Candidates must have a keen interest in problem solving, maintenance and repair. Skills required: As technical support you will need to demonstrate: Good IT skills Strong organisational skills Good written and verbal communication An understanding of customer service A good work ethic with a determination to succeed Ability to work within a team or covering your own caseload of work Requirements: You are required to have GCSE A-C grades or equivalent in English and maths to apply for this type of apprenticeship. If you do not have these grades but have completed numeracy and literacy Key Skills/Functional Skills at level two you may also apply for these apprenticeships Training to be provided: The Infrastructure Technician Apprenticeship will enable you to gain the relevant knowledge, skills and behaviours to provide first or second line support to internal and external customers and stakeholders to help them be productive when using technology. By the end of the programme, you will be able to set people up on their IT systems and provide support when needed, rectifying issues to maintain colleagues’ and the organisation’s productivity. Job roles include helpdesk technician, first or second line IT support roles or Network support roles.
