Facilities Manager 6 Months Temporary Contract £20.50 PH Monday - Friday, 9am-5pm Based in Central London Adecco are currently recruiting for a Facilities Manager for a prestigious university based in Central London. The position is highly customer focused, ensuring that objectives are identified, delivered and evaluated whilst offering effective solutions when required. A significant part of the role will include the management of office moves and larger relocation projects. Duties: To actively participate and lead on the ongoing development and management of a range of E&FM disciplines which include both hard and soft services. Take responsibility for a wide range of contract management processes and procedures. Developing the associated Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) as well as producing quality management information and demonstrate strong leadership and direction. To work effectively to deliver quality health and safety risk assessment processes, promote a safe culture through knowledge and experience. Provide continual development to support the University's environmental improvement and performance commitments. Line management responsibility for the teams delivering the following service functions Reception, Mailroom and Facilities Porterage including support of on-going development. Using the university's inhouse CAFM system maximise the use of the system to ensure, so far as practical, all E&FM functions are represented on the CAFM system. Work to ensure an excellent knowledge and demonstrate ownership of the system. Manage and oversee purchasing of goods, services and equipment within agreed financial limits. Actively seek to implement the University's Equal Opportunities Policy and promote equality of opportunity in relation to the duties of the post. Assist in the development and preparation of tender documents and specifications for a wide variety of service contracts, including onward contract management and monitoring of SLA and KPI performance. Participate in the delivery of whole tender exercises, evaluate bids and deliver best advice to enable agreed selection of providers. Coordinate and manage the completion of both regular and ad-hoc works by contractors. Contract Management - assist in the management of a range of external FM providers ensuring value for money and quality performance. Arrange and attend regular meetings to ensure performance of contract is consistent and reaching levels required whilst maintaining VFM. To undertake any other duties that may reasonably be requested appropriate to the grade and responsibilities of the post.
