Service Architect - (Service design process)
Overview
Becoming an Enterprise Service Architect with Smart DCC: Location: Ruddington OR Manchester (Travel to other DCC sites would be required) As Enterprise Service Architect you will be part of a team who are responsible for the production of DCC Enterprise level Service & Process Packages ( which includes but are not limited to Service Designs, supporting process and procedures, system data, templates, work instructions, plans, RAID, knowledge articles and training material). You will demonstrate a high level of understanding with respect to service management, ITSM toolsets, service architecture, business services along with the operational implications and will naturally create service models/designs to optimise customer satisfaction, either bespoke or drawn from a service catalogue. You will own and deliver end to end packages with the view of 'what do we need to operate', this will involve engagement at the conception of a project through to testing and supporting Operational Acceptance/Live Service Criteria. What you'll be doing: Develop and maintain the DCC Service Catalogue; operating within the ITIL frameworks and compliant with ISO2000; Enterprise level Service Designs & Processes along with all supporting quality documentation The translation of requirements and obligations into a E-2-E output that describes the scope of services, delivery model(s), people, processes, Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and supporting Operational Level Agreements (OLAs) Designing user interfaces and ensuring they flow through to efficient support processes Build data, processes, workflows and configuration for Service Management Systems Leading in the design, development and implementation of management procedures for newly released services. Identification of Service risks in contract clauses and recommendation as to how to best resolve issues Lead on programmes and projects of work, acting as Subject Matter Experts and ensuring the solution delivers the best option for the customer; What we're looking for: Extensive experience in designing E-2-E services, developing and implementing sustainable and scale-able service management processes and procedures from scratch Strong background in the Design of Managed Services and Enterprise solution technology and services Experience in selecting and applying service management principles, policies and techniques in the definition of Service Designs in operational environments Customer focused with ability to identify and understand and deliver to the (internal and/or external) customer's needs Strong knowledge relating to service management and ITSM toolsets, service architecture Strong vendor management experience and understanding 3rd party support contracts, proven ability to manage ambiguity, conflict and prioritisation Creative problem solving and analysis skills with an ability to identify service gaps and develop and implement solutions meeting the needs of the business be able to write WI's, Knowledge Articles and Training material; About the Smart Data Communications Company (DCC) At DCC we've built the data and communications infrastructure that will support the mass roll out of smart electricity and gas meters to homes and small businesses across the country.
