Overview
I am currently working on behalf of large charity healthcare provider that is currently seeking to appoint a locum Clinical Psychologist to join their enthusiastic multi disciplinary team in York on a rolling contract. The service itself specialist neurobehavioural assessment and post-acute rehabilitation hospital for people with acquired brain injury (ABI) and complex needs. The role will be responsible for specialist psychological assessment of patients based on the appropriate use, interpretation and integration of complex data from a variety of sources. This will include psychological and neuropsychological tests, self-report measures, rating scales, direct and indirect structured observations and semi-structured interviews with patients and others involved in their care. The post holder will be required to key work a number of service users and this will involve coordinating care along with various different stakeholders. As a clinician the post holder will be responsible for a caseload of patients undertaking psychological assessment, psychological therapy and rehabilitation on group or individual bases. The post holder will be expected to employ a rigorous formulation based approach to deriving, implementing, and evaluating interventions, and provide guidance to the team on this approach as appropriate. You will have supervisory responsibility for aspects of the clinical work of others providing psychological assessments or interventions, including assistant psychologists, students or volunteers.
