2nd Line Support Engineer Required for SME in Ipswich Salary - £25k - £30k DEO Benefits Hours - Average 37.5 hours Join this Exciting and Expanding Business and Develop your Career A long-term and well-respected client of TEC Partners is currently seeking an experienced 2nd Line Support Engineer to join their busy and growing team based centrally in Ipswich. Our client is committed to investing and supporting their staff, giving individuals the opportunity to up-skill and further their skillset. There is funding provided and dedicated to ensuring their staff take on some of the latest IT Courses, all funded by the company and separate to your salary. The successful candidate will be Operating the 2nd Line of Support for the business, covering a range of user needs. Following receiving tickets, faults or incidents from the user or 1st Line team, you will the diagnose and resolve the issue, or escalate the ticket to 3rd Line Support. Technical Skills Needed for this Position: MS Office (both installation and maintenance of these packages) Domains, Printer Setups, Hardware Builds / Installations Upgrades Microsoft Server Operating Systems Knowledge of Active Directory (AD), Exchange, Office 365 & SQL. Knowledge of Server Virtualisation using Hyper-V and VMware Good understanding of Networking Protocols including TCP/IP, DNS & DHCP Additional Skills to Support Application: An ability to effectively prioritise workload and execute tasks under pressure Excellent communication skills with an ability to communicate clearly and professionally Excellent Customer Service Skills; preferably developed working in an IT sector.
