Systems Developer / First Line IT Support This is a great time to join the organisation, as there’s a real opportunity here to grow with the company. This is an opportunity to join a small but extremely busy IT department help shape and develop new and existing bespoke systems and processes to drive efficiencies (not only internally but for our customers as well). The role also requires any successful candidate to be first line support for all IT queries across the company. Role profile… 1) Systems developer - MS Access / Excel / MS Office / MS Technologies - VB / VBA / SQL / XML / HTML / NET framework / C# / JavaScript / Powershell - MS Azure SQL / SQL Server / other database technologies - Power BI - Automation and API knowledge - Data analysis / working with large data sets / data integrity / report writing - Working and improving existing bespoke MS Access systems - Streamlining and improving existing code - Rolling out new versions and training on features. - Helping the migration away from MS Access and development of replacement systems. - Helping implement a dev ops environment to work in tandem with partner developers. 2) First Line IT Support - System troubleshooting - Ensuring optimum system performance - Hardware upgrades and troubleshooting - General User support - Windows 10 / Server / AD / MS Azure / Office365 - Network Support / Testing - Compliance procedures - Service monitoring - MS Office Support (Specifically MS Access and VBA) - Sage50 / Payroll - MS Licencing - Incident management / Cyber security principles To be considered for the role you will need to have… - A strong development background, able to work / develop both existing systems and new projects (with external partners) - Proven knowledge of programming languages listed, specifically knowledge of Access / VBA - Understand and help the transition process from legacy systems to new more secure technologies. - Strong IT support background with experience and excellent communication skills - Windows Server / Office365 / MS Azure / Active Directory - LAN/WAN awareness - IT Security awareness - Microsoft qualifications preferred - Network qualifications preferred - Knowledge of the invoice finance world - Knowledge of the UK insurance world - Knowledge of the UK auto repair market - Good knowledge of ISO 9001/27001 / GDPR - Able to work under pressure - Able to work with external support partners and developers.
