Overview

Robertson Bell Finance are working with a multi-faceted, international, organisation based in Birmingham to recruit an Interim Assistant Financial Accountant on a 4-month contract. My client currently operates across four continents, through six different entities, delivering a number of impactful projects to support and build the lives of individuals in local communities. With yearend fast approaching my client are looking for an experienced Assistant Financial Accountant to provide support to the Financial Accountant in a complex accounting environment and ensure the smooth delivery of the Statutory Accounts. Key responsibilities of the Interim Assistant Financial Accountant include: Supporting the Financial Accountant on the delivery of a smooth year end process and production of the Statutory Accounts. Reconciling the Balance Sheet for each of the organisations six entities and supporting the Financial Accountant on the consolidation process. Preparing and posting monthly VAT journals and quarterly VAT returns. Maintaining the organisations fixed asset register in SUN. Reviewing the organisations expense and loan reports to ensure that they meet set standards. The successful candidate will demonstrate: Strong reconciliation skills and experience supporting on year end processes. Experience working in a complex accounting environment. Intermediate Excel skills and regular use of the software. Excellent communication skills, both written and oral. Ideally applicants will have experience using SUN and Q&A however, candidates who have used other accounting systems will also be considered.
