Overview
We are assisting our Information Technology client based in Birmingham to appoint a Financial Controller on an interim basis supporting commercial entities across the Nordic regions including Finland, Sweden, Norway and Denmark. Following a period of impressive growth and annualised operating profit our client is embarking on a finance project to improve accounting and compliance efficiencies. Reporting to the Regional Finance Director with the support of an international finance team you will primarily take ownership for financial and statutory reporting across the entities. Our client is looking for a candidate with a strong track record of delivering accounting and compliance projects across multinational jurisdictions with commercial pace. A candidate who possesses ACA/CIMA/ACCA will be preferable but not compulsory. Ideally, you will: Take ownership for all financial controls and transactions across the Nordic entities Ensure shared service colleagues perform accurate transaction operations and processes Compile all Month End accounting; ring-fencing and scrutinising business unit overheads whilst developing robust financial reporting Liaise with group ledger teams to ensure accurate variance analysis to BU managers Assist with preparation and/or integration of newly acquired entities across different localities Take ownership of commercial business initiative controls and advise on strategic aims Manage the auditor relationships and local audit tax filing preparation as necessary Conduct month end reviews with regional business stakeholders In Return, you will: Have the opportunity to gain experience within a high growth global business Be welcome to contribute to an expanding business within an exciting new region Enjoy an innovative ambitious and cohesive business atmosphere
