Overview
Our client, one of Scotland’s premier food manufacturers is seeking a Technical Manager. The role is to ensure that the highest standards of quality are achieved and to present information as required both by the company and key customers, maintaining the good reputation of the company. The role Responsibility for the compliance of the Quality Department and associated administration. Assume role of the HACCP team leader. Maintain and update all relevant documentation as required by the business. Recruitment, training, development and mentoring of laboratory staff. Be customer facing during factory visits and / or audits. To review and approve all quality documentation. Assume responsibility for hygiene compliance within company sites. Lead the company in maintaining the BRC certification at the business sites. Comply with food standards set by local organisations Keeping staff records and training schedules. The Person Quality or Technical Management with suitable experience of working in a dynamic food manufacturing business Experience of managing HACCP Systems Level 3 or 4 Food Safety Level 3 or 4 HACCP QMS management experienced Food or Science based Degree or HND Experience with Windows, Outlook, Excel, Word, Open People, Integrator (SI) What’s on offer? • A commensurate starting salary, dependant on experience.
