Overview
SF Recruitment are currently recruiting for a Finance Director for a 6 month Fixed Term Contract for our Central Birmingham based client. This is a wide ranging senior post within the organisation where, reporting directly to the CEO, the key responsibilities of this role are: - To be responsible for all the Financial functions of organisation, ensuring all statutory requirements are met. - To provide outsourced financial services, including Statutory and Management Accounting and Payroll functions for associated organisations - To provide advice on all matters relating to the generation of income, the control of expenditure and the investment of assets - To ensure that organisational strategy is reflected in robust and professional financial management and oversight of strategic programmes, through development, monitoring, reporting and evaluation. - The preparation of monthly and annual accounts, budgets, forecasts and the 5 year plan in accordance with agreed timetables and standards for the Board of Finance, the Board of Education and other related organisations, helping budget holders plan and manage their budget. The Individual: - Must hold an ICAEW (ACA), CIMA, ACCA or CIPFA accounting qualification along with current membership of the appropriate institute. - A demonstratable commitment to Continuing Professional Development. - Be able to demonstrate a track record of successful senior financial experience. - Have experience of the financial requirements of a multi-million pound not-for-profit organisation, with experience of restricted funds, charity accounting and reporting standards. - Knowledge of relevant charity law and good practice with relation to financial transactions. - Be experienced in achieving change in a complex multi-stakeholder environment, ideally in a membership organisation
