My client, a global provider of microelectronic/optoelectronic products, is now seeking an Optoelectronics Design Engineer to join their expanding team. Reporting to the Engineering Manager, the successful applicant will be responsible for defining, designing and developing Optoelectronic products for harsh environment applications. Developing fibre interconnects and coupling solutions, the successful applicant will help support NPI processes through leading optical simulation activities and performing/reporting verification tests. The Product Design Engineer will also contribute toward continuous improvement. Identifying and helping implement best practice engineering methods and techniques. This opportunity is perfect for those with an inquisitive mindset and demonstrable industry experience. Candidates with a strong background in optoelectronic/optical product design/development are encouraged to apply. Qualifications & Experience: Applicants should have a bachelor’s degree in a relevant subject, as well as demonstrable industry experience. Experience with Zemax Software or similar would be advantageous. Candidates should have a strong Electronics and Optoelectronics manufacturing and design engineering background, as well as a good knowledge of RF/microwave and general electronics design, including PCB layout.
