We are now looking for a Claims Advisor to join us on a full time, permanent basis and in return you will receive a competitive salary of £24,285 - £28,571 per annum. About the Claims Advisor role: You will be the point of contact for customer, residents and third parties who make a disrepair and or claim under the Fit for Habitation standard against Halton Housing. Key accountabilities in the Claims Advisor role: - To act as the coordinator and point of contact for all Disrepair and Fit for Habitation standard claims and enquiries to HH. The post holder will log, coordinate, monitor and report on all cases to the Team Leader (Quality and Assurance), ensuring that we adhere to our policies/ timescales and regulatory standards. - You will be the initial point of contact for customers who make a disrepair/Fit for Habitation claims against Halton Housing. This will also require that you raise any works orders as per the disrepair surveyors’ recommendations and then plan as necessary all works for delivery in conjunction with the disrepair team leader. You will also be responsible for successfully seeing the orders through to completion on time and to strict deadlines as laid down by the legal process. - You will need to go the extra mile in making sure residents go from being dissatisfied to a positive outcome as quickly as possible, ensuring that HH take a proactive approach to resolution and ownership of the issues. - You will liaise with HH Habitation Surveyor, third party surveyors, customers, appointed solicitors and other colleagues as required to ensure the highest possible service to our customers in resolution of their issues. - You will need to lead on the collation of case files for all cases of accident/ incidents claims made against HH, including liaison with our third party legal and technical advisor. - The successful applicant will have a varied knowledge of housing including Disrepair; The Fitness for Habitation Act 2018, contract management, repairs and maintenance service delivery alongside experience of working with customers, resolving queries and giving advice. - You will have some experience of using customer insight data, analysing/ investigating this to understand trends; identify actions/ areas of improvement that can be implemented to improve our customers experience of the services that HH delivers. Our ideal Claims Advisor will possess the below skills and experience: - Experience of working within a customer facing role; listening to customers and proactively using customer insight information to convert into action. - Experience of housing disrepair. - Experience of the Fitness for Habitation Standard. - Good knowledge of repairs and maintenance. - Experience and a good understanding of the Housing health and safety rating system (HHSRS) - Experience of case /claim management, data management; collation and reporting of case management. - Demonstrable skills in acting efficiently and pro-actively within defined decision-making processes.
