Systems Engineer - (Audit Monitoring - MicroFocus) - Hampshire - 6 months Our client, a market leading multi-national technology company are looking for a Systems Engineer, to join them on a customer project based in Bracknell. The assignment is an initial 6 month contract and can offer a competitive daily rate. Candidates are also required to hold or be willing to undergo a higher level of security clearance due to the nature of the project Role Overview: The Systems Engineer is part of a team responsible for the maintenance and upgrades to a delivered system. Provide technical support to issues raised by the Service Ops Centre. Be responsible for the investigation and delivery of defect resolutions through Engineering in to the Production Environment without impacting the Live service. Be responsible for delivering engineering changes to time and quality. Be responsible for following the engineering lifecycle. In addition, they may be required to work evenings and weekends in support of the project. Mandatory Skills Required: Good Communication Skills. Be capable of producing concise install documentation. Good analysis and problem solving skills. Good understanding and proven track record of the following Technologies Auditing Systems Monitoring Service Management solutions HPSM HP Service Manager (now Micro Focus) OMW - Operations Manager for Windows OMi - Operations Manager Incident Exchange VPV - Virtualisation Performance Viewer SHR - Service Health Reporter. Experience of working in a secure environment Desirable Skills Required: Windows Installer IP / Firewall technologies SQL Server knowledge Databases (SQL, Oracle) Windows 2008/R2 Windows Vista/7 Active Directory Group Policy Powershell HP Client Automation (Radia) VMWare McAfee Products Lumension Products HP Operations Agent Key Performance Indicators Makes a recognized technical contribution to business approval meetings. Consistently produces designs, which require minimal ( Provides evidence that demonstrates defining the technical scope in order to ensure an acceptable cost structure. Can evidence feedback from customer forums, conferences and professional bodies etc. which demonstrates a personal contribution to building Fujitsu's reputation in the market place. Tangible recognition from customer management, Fujitsu sales and project management staff, of an effective contribution to business development. Using company prescribed methodologies, can demonstrate the production of several medium scale designs, including some which are not based on an existing patter, or which have substantial customization and/or contain solution components from contributing specialists.
