Overview
Cubed Resourcing are working with our client to find Laboratory Assistants / Production Assistants to join their team, based in the YO41 area of York, near Sand Hutton. Our client is an innovative technology-led company focused on producing medical diagnostic testing kits. They develop, manufacture and distribute a range of rapid testing products in the medical areas of haematology and oncology, but also rapid testing kits for Covid-19. Due to the company going through an exciting year of growth, they are looking to employ a number of Laboratory Assistants / Production Assistants to join their small friendly team, who work in their production laboratories on the outskirts of York. Due to location; own transport will be necessary. Whilst the role is based in a lab environment you are not carrying out scientific processes However the company believe in promoting people within the business, if you are willing to work from the ground up, you could become part of the lab testing team. Duties will include: - The manual assembly of the sealed testing unit - Manual labelling - Bottle filling - Packing the kits - Operation of the automated machinery - Quality Control checks No experience is required but the ideal candidate will display the following attributes: - A very high attention to detail - Good hand eye coordination - Good levels of concentration - Be able to work as part of a small team Hours of work: 8am – 4pm Monday to Friday (Usually have an early finish on a Friday) Pay Rate - £8.85 per hour, increasing once taken on by the company References will be required to be considered for this role, interviews and start dates to take place mid April. After successful completion of 3 months probation working through Cubed Resourcing you will be considered for a contract with the company.
