Employee Relations Advisor (HR) Location: London City, Millennium Bridge House Salary: £35,000 per annum Excellent benefits and company culture Type: Full-time, permanent Job Content: Are you an effective communicator with experience in managing disciplinary, absence, performance issues? Do you have experience of managing change programmes and handling grievances? Are you a strong influencer who can build effective relationships with stakeholders? If so, we are looking for a self- motivated individual who can advise on a wide range of ER activity as well as drive ER initiatives across their assigned brands. Every day you'll be delivering a robust, first-class ER Advisory service across our family of brands within the UK and Ireland. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Assisting the business with managing performance and conduct issues including the use of capability and disciplinary procedures, managing probations, conducting investigations, preparing documentation and where relevant attending meetings. Advising employees and managers in resolving conflict issues and dealing with grievances- conducting investigations, preparing documentation and attending grievance hearings and where relevant, facilitate mediation between employees to manage conflict and relationship issues. Providing advice to managers and assist with managing sickness & absence issues - preparing documentation and attending meetings. Assisting managers with dealing with flexible working applications Work closely with the HR Service centre and other internal departments regarding employees and managers remuneration issues and queries regarding all policy and procedure. Provide the business with advice on HR policy and procedures Assist with providing information to the HR Department to enable accurate update of policies and procedures in line with current legislation and practice. Assist with identification and implementation of structural change including advice on redundancy consultations and relocations of employees. Assist with the management of incoming and outgoing TUPE consultations and information exchange. Working with the ER Manager to provide up to date legislative information to the business. Working with the ER Manager in producing and interpreting Management Information to assist in supporting the business aims. Attend area/regional business management meetings and use the opportunity to present HR best practice initiatives Build relationships of trust within business areas and a good working understanding of the commercial objectives and challenges. Identification of business issues and trends Management of 'Associate' issues and understanding of the nature of employment relationship to offer advice to branches Assist with all project work supporting the HR strategy, e.g. retention initiatives, appraisals, employee handbooks, leadership and talent development initiatives. Assist with the delivery of HR specific workshops and communication updates to the business. Communicate clearly and concisely at all levels and exhibit strong listening skills Be self-motivated and work autonomously providing the required outputs Confidently deal with conflict, expressing opinions, making sound commercial decisions and standing by the outcome Identify and get to the root cause of issues quickly and effectively and solve complex problems Couple a common-sense approach with strong commercial acumen Be objective in balancing the personal needs of the individual with the commercial needs of the business See the 'bigger picture', be a strong influencer and be confident enough to build and shape the business from both a commercial and people perspective Handle all issues in a fair and consistent manner Be well organised with strong attention to detail Respond to the changing needs of a demanding organisation Your salary will reflect your hard work; we ensure you give back to the community, giving you a volunteer day.
