This is a newly created role to support Babylon's growth and success by ensuring effective and efficient management of Babylonians in line with our values and behaviours. You will work closely with the People and Performance Business Partners and legal team to provide insights and proactive interventions to drive the business forward and to ensure that we maintain our high performance culture. Moreover, you will play a crucial role in shaping our employee capability policies and helping integrate a global mindset into everything we do. Key Responsibilities: * Identify and manage any risks within the employee relations remit - see, spot, mitigate, eliminate and escalate where appropriate. * Advise, support and educate line managers on all matters relating to employee relations. * Effectively manage cases across all divisions of the UK business up to and including Industrial Tribunal level. Cases will include but are not limited to disciplinary, grievance, performance management, probation, short and long term absence. * Support the business with any OD changes to provide expert ER advice / support. * Take ownership of developing the tools required to effectively manage employee relations. * Design and deliver a training suite for Babylonians at all levels on ER related topics covering, disciplinary, capability, bullying and harassment, discrimination, sickness absence etc, using personal experience to give context to issues, promoting best practice and increasing ER capability across the business. * Build relationships with key stakeholders across Babylon to promote good employee relations across the organisation. * Maintain and manage an accurate case log in order to provide data to the business. Provide insights and proactive recommendations based on trends/key themes. * Manage the HR policy review globally, identifying legal risk or gaps and use your initiative to create global HR policies that are fit for purpose and scalable. * Communicate forthcoming legislative changes in good time for changes to be made / implemented. * Work with People Operations and Procurement to support the selection and implementation of new suppliers in this area (e.g. Occupational Health) Qualifications and Experience: * Strong stakeholder management * Experience of autonomously and pragmatically managing complex cases up to and including tribunal * Ability to manage a substantial volume of cases in a fast-paced environment * Experience of creating, revising and implementing policy * Good knowledge of employment law and keeps up to date with legislative changes and recent case law * Experience of collective consultations / mergers and acquisitions / redundancy process / new legislation interpretation * International employment law experience (managing international ER issues) Desirable:- * Employment law qualification * Labour relations - workers councils / trade unions Person Specification: * Is compassionate and caring towards others.
