Job Description

You will will orchestrate a key role in driving employee relations, strategy across BCG regions and local offices. Working as part of the Global HR Operations team and directly reporting to the Partner & Managing Director of HR, the role will work across the following areas: * Work closely with HR leadership, Global Legal and Regional HR teams to develop, drive and communicate firm wide employee relations strategy and to further embed consistent best practice approaches to employee relations issues across the business. * Act as a Centre of Excellence on employee relations matters for Regional HR teams, providing strategic advice on global HR policies, employee relations matters, investigations and processes. * Conduct complex HR investigations involving senior personnel, as required, including providing counsel on appropriate outcomes from a global perspective. * Partner closely with the Ombudsperson team on the day to day operation of the function, including advising on employee relations practice and HR policy, overseeing and conducting investigations, preparing required reports, supporting Ombudsperson onboarding, and acting as a conduit to share learnings with HR teams. * Support the development of a suite of global best practice HR policies, and employee relations tools and templates. * Design and deliver training programmes on employee relations issues and conduct. * Support risk prevention and best practice on workplace conduct issues including conducting face to face workplace conduct training at offices as required * Lead various internal reviews or audits of employee relations data and processes. Business Partnership * Build strong working relationships with the HR leadership, Global Legal, Regional HR, Ombudsperson teams to support, design and champion process, policy and frameworks that align to global and local requirements that seek to continually improve the employee experience and the firm's risk profile. * Coach and mentor local HR teams on employee relations skill sets and effective risk and compliance management. * Develop and maintain effective business partnerships with legal and HR in reviewing and updating local policies and processes related to employee relations related topics. Subject Matter Expertise & Strategy * Provide key subject matter expertise related to employee relations both globally and locally, for example, conducting investigations, performance management, workplace conduct and employment terms and conditions. * Be at the forefront on regular benchmarking comparable to other organizations and provide insight on best practices related to employee relations. * Develop, drive and communicate firm wide employee relations strategy to improved awareness, embed good practices, nurture culture and manage ongoing risk and compliance. Training, Reporting & Projects * Manage the planning and drive the delivery of employee relations related training needs and plans for local HR. Execute and regularly report on progress. * Manage the preparation and tracking of the annual ombudsperson report * Develop sustainable reporting practices on governance and compliance across BCG for global leadership. * Working autonomously as an independent contributor to lead the function globally, working with others in a complex matrix organization. * Must be able to perform successfully in a fast-paced, intellectually deep, service-oriented environment and to interpret rules and guidelines flexibly to enhance the business and in keeping with BCG's values and culture. * Experience working successfully within a complex matrix structured organization is essential. * Good experience and understanding of managing complex reporting relationships and incorporate multiple cultures. Able to oversee, plan and execute parallel concurrent activities to serve firm wide plans * Expert at analysis, developing capability, presenting and facilitating * Excellent conceptual skills and ability to package complex materials into a well-organized and succinct work product (PowerPoint) * Some travel will be required, with amount and destination varying depending on project and on-going needs, but advance notice can be expected * Given multiple time zones of colleagues and offices being supported, flexibility to work outside of "normal" business hours will be required Employment Type: Permanent
