Powertrain Test Technician
Overview
The Role: Powertrain Technician required to cover engine test programme. Dynometer test bed operation including installation and removal of test engines. Experience of calibration tools, Inca, Asam and AVL combustion analysis. Prototype build and strip of gasoline/diesel engines. Recognise and diagnose engine running faults. Conduct experiments and collect data. Build and set equipment for experiments. Fabrication and machining of bespoke components/brackets. Compliant with Microsoft office systems. Work shift patterns when required. Maintain communication with project engineers. Manage and prioritise workloads to achieve project demands. Monday - Firday 8.25hrs per day. These will be weekly rotation shifts, 6:00 - 14:15 then 14:00 - 22:15. (Night shift 22:00 - 06:15 every 6/7 weeks.)
