Your opportunity Working within this Centre of Excellence, you will find yourself advising individuals, the business and business-facing HR teams in handling a wide range of employee relations matters. This will include end to end case management of grievance, disciplinary and other matters. You will also lead on restructures/TUPE’s or work as part of a wider team on large scale change programmes. You will also get involved in supporting wider HR project activity as a Subject Matter Expert. There will be opportunity to design, develop and deliver training to your HR colleagues and the business as required. Your role As a Manager in our Employee Relations team you will: Manage independent investigations acting as the HR representative at investigation meetings, note taking, producing or reviewing high quality investigation reports and preparing documentation when required Predominantly working with partners to resolve capability issues and the end to end process of complex ER cases. This includes, but not limited to, attendance and participation at formal meetings, drafting correspondence, and providing solutions based on current legislation, best practice and in line with business needs by driving a consistent application of our policies and processes. Support or manage key projects and transactional activity, including redundancies and TUPE’s. Highlight key risks and issues that could impact the overall project delivery and timescales. Providing specialist and technical ER advice, support and mentorship to key stakeholders on all aspects of employee relations, taking responsibility for analysing issues, providing accurate advice and solutions on an independent basis, setting expectations, communicating status, responding to concerns and providing support throughout any process by applying commercial and pragmatic thought to available solutions. Review and support the development of Employee Relations policies in accordance with legislative changes, and design guidance materials to assist and support managers and staff in the exercise of good employment practice. Support the end to end process for high level/sensitive terminations/exits, including drafting settlement agreements and liaising with external lawyers Develop and support the delivery of ER-related learning to adhere to the firm’s values and support the ongoing objective to embedding and transferring work to other areas of the HR function and the wider business. Records all ER cases in the case management tool, and work with the Management Information team to develop and provide detailed reporting on ER activity to identify trends and to enable the business to make informed decisions in line with reporting requirements Work effectively within an inclusive team culture where people are recognised for their contribution; and demonstrate a willingness to support and cover for other team members as required to provide a seamless service to the business Your work, your choice At Deloitte we believe the best impact is the value we add, not the hours we sit at our desk. Work pattern: This is a permanent contract opportunity. The role can be worked on a full-time basis. Your professional experience Practical experience in applying current employment law through managing ER cases and related risks A sophisticated understanding of broader HR best practice Ability to manage multiple activities and prioritise work as important vs urgent and ensure the Ops Lead has clear visibility of current workload Proven stakeholder engagement and relationship-building skills Strong verbal and written communication skills, and the ability to lead, facilitate and manage complex cases and multiple stakeholders end to end Ability to use own initiative to progress issues and to identify continual opportunities for improvement Ability to make prompt, practical and commercial decisions, even in times of ambiguity and in consideration of various perspectives, applying sound judgement and balancing risk with the commercial needs of the firm Experience of working in a professional services firm would be an advantage Your service line: Internal Services At Deloitte, we’re all about collaboration.
