Overview
A fantastic opportunity to join a strong and long established family company offering a secure position in a friendly work environment with high staff retention. Due to growth, JRS are recruiting for a Systems Administrator to support the IT Manager The successful candidate will be working with the IT Manager in developing and maintaining the network of PCs, services and thin clients. The role will including resolving employee problems either over the telephone or at the employees pc, setting up new machines, maintaining the network which will include the running of new cables and installing new equipment. The main responsibilities of this role will include: Building new PCs, installing operating systems and relevant software Installing new printers General fault finding Answering telephone queries Providing support direct to colleagues with an IT related issues Working with IT Manager on project work The role will require the following skills and experience: Knowledge of Windows Operating System XPe 7,8,9 and 10 Working knowledge of Windows software installations and updating Knowledge of Virtual Machines - Vmware and/or Virtualbox A basic knowledge and experience of working with Linux operating systems Familiarity with open source software Comfortable working from the command line Experience and ability to build computers and matching correct componants Excellent service skills Benefits included Permanent position -£26,000 - £30,000 Onsite parking Company pension scheme 25 days holiday plus 8 bank holidays Company bonus scheme paid monthly Should your application be successful, you will be contacted by one of our consultants.
