Overview

Position: Node.js Developer Suitable for: Javascript Developer with Node.js experience Location: York, North Yorkshire (approx. 5 min walk from train station) Salary: Negotiable 31 days hol, flexible working, Perkbox Our client is looking for a Node.js Developer or Javascript Developer with strong backend development experience capable of architecting and delivering complex custom cloud solutions. The Node.js Developer or Javascript Developer will be primarily focused on building bespoke backend applications, including creating and further developing proprietary solutions such as mobile CMS solution as well as creating API’s; implementing complex business logic; supporting integration across mobile apps and 3rd party systems. The role will focus on building serverless backend systems using AWS Lambda / Azure (where necessary, suitable training will be provided). Experience/Attributes : To be a successful Node.js Developer or Javascript Developer you must have the following experience: · Minimum 2 years’ experience as a Node.js Developer or Javascript Developer or similar · Expertise in JavaScript, specifically Node.js · Delivering high quality, robust and testable code · Experience developing REST APIs · Knowledge of TDD or BDD approaches to developing software · Ability to write unit tests · Experience of PostgreSQL databases Desirable : It would be a bonus if you had the following: •GraphQL •Amazon AWS •Azure •Serverless experience •DevOps; familiarity with the CLI and Linux administration •Project estimating/quoting •JIRA Responsibilities As a Node.js Developer or Javascript Developer, you must show a keen interest in making the mobile world a career choice and have a strong desire for learning and building upon your career to date.
