Overview
I am currently working on behalf of one of the UK's leading national charities for individuals with neurological conditions and brain injuries. They are looking for a Non-medical prescriber to work in their Leeds Neurological service, where you'll have the chance to make a real difference to the lives of people who are experiencing these conditions. Up to £37000 Responsibilities include: Working in collaboration with Ward Managers to oversee and lead the nursing team to ensure a high standard of care for all service users, leading and supporting the development, implementation, and evaluation of programmes of care as part of the interdisciplinary team. Diagnose and manage both acute and chronic conditions, integrating both drug- and nondrug-based treatment methods into a management plan Accurately assess the need of service users and prescribe and review medication for therapeutic effectiveness, appropriate to service user needs and in accordance with evidence-based practice and national and practice protocols, and within scope of practice Working with service users in order to support compliance with and adherence to prescribed treatments To provide evidenced based professional support and advice to the multi-disciplinary team Exercise sound clinical leadership by example and instruction. Competently carry out clinical procedures and use appropriate clinical equipment within scope of practice, seeking advice when required, ensure competence of others through instruction and training when required. You will have a real opportunity to help shape service delivery and contribute to delivering clinically excellent services. Person Specification: Relevant prescribing qualification NMC Registered Nurse or HCPC Regsitered Commitment to customer service (demonstrating, and promoting within the team, empathy with clients and the need to work collaboratively with them to understand and help to meet their needs). Effective communication (establishing rapport with others, listening effectively, handling challenging situations with clients, communicating confidently with colleagues, managers and medical professionals). Delivering positive outcomes (planning own time to deliver defined outcomes, modelling personal accountability, planning and monitoring own caseload and plans to ensure interventions are on track and remain valid). Building relationships (embodying person-centered approach to empowering clients, engaging others in identifying and committing to solutions and outcomes, building trust with service users).
