Overview
A North London based Local Authority has an opportunity for a Senior Employment Solicitor to join their Employment tribunal team and Education team. This is a temporary position based at their office in Haringey, with your initial contract being three months, but there is possibility of extension. Your New Role In this Employment Solicitor role, you will handle a busy caseload of up to 10 cases at any one time. You will be involved in employment tribunal claims from start to finish. Key elements of the role involve: Covering all areas of legal work as required Employment based proceedings in courts, appeals and tribunals Interviewing witnesses and recording witness statements Candidate Profile The appointed Employment Lawyer will require: 3 years’ PQE as an Employment Solicitor (or Barrister) Recent experience in the areas of employment and education Experience in the conduct of employment tribunals, including advocacy Experience of working within legal services, preferably within a public setting Strong litigation, communication and interpersonal skills Rewards In return for your expertise as an Employment Lawyer, you will receive a competitive hourly rate (£40 per hour).
