Lead Employment Legal Counsel - In-House

Job Description
Our client is a prestigious, leading multinational financial services organisation and we have been instructed to help them recruit their first dedicated employment counsel to be based in their EMEA headquarters in London. The successful candidate will work within the Legal Department and support all areas of their business in relation to the full spectrum of employment law issues. This will include, but not be limited to, internal drivers such as business change, restructuring, equal opportunities, diversity and inclusion, as well as external factors such as regulatory reform where it impacts employment law. The role will include contentious and non-contentious work so litigation experience would be helpful but is not a pre-requisite, and our client is equally interested in employment lawyers from non-contentious, advisory backgrounds.As this will be their first specialist employment counsel, this is a great opportunity for someone to come in and take ownership of the space. Skills required * 3+ years' PQE gained in the employment department of a leading firm or in-house. * Strong experience in advising on contentious and non-contentious employment matters * Ability to work independently and autonomously where required.
