Job summary The Red Hat Global Employment team is looking for a Senior Manager for Employment and Compliance to join us in London, U.K. In this role, you will use your in-depth labor law expertise to lead the development and delivery of employment rules and approaches across compensation, benefits, time, retirement and absence programs globally. Your success will be measured by providing guidance on labor and employment legislative requirements and advising on system requirements and operating models to key Red Hat stakeholders. As a Senior Manager, you need to be motivated and have experience as a legal professional in order to play an instrumental leadership role in our Global Employment team. Primary job responsibilities + Manage the team responsible for drafting employment agreements, restrictive covenants, retention, and other employment-related agreements for Americas, Asia Pacific (APAC), and Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA) + Provide advice regarding employment matters, including works councils in relevant non-U.S. locations + Proactively identify, assess, and balance employment requirements, and be able to offer practical, business focused, and creative solutions in partnership with the HR and corporate teams + Stay current with, and advise on, meaningful employment-related legal developments + Conduct due diligence of employment-related aspects of mergers, acquisitions and divestitures, and support related integration efforts + Advice and counsel on day-to-day issues as well as strategic and systemic initiatives + Manage relationships and costs with outside counsel handling employment litigation and advisory matters + Work in close collaboration with Talent, Talent Acquisition, HR Services, Global Mobility and Immigration, Compensation, and Benefits teams Required skills + 10+ years experience in HR or a employment compliance focused role + Legal degree + Experience with leading a team of employment legal professionals across different geographies + Experience in drafting employment agreements, policies, and procedures + Experience with advising on time and absence legal requirements globally + Extensive experience and demonstrated understanding of global employment law and regulations, and their impact to business operations + Ability to guide and build credible relationships across multiple functions with international partners at varying levels of the company + Capability to manage multiple priorities and prioritize shifting demands for a team + Ability to respect confidentiality within the team and throughout the organization + Detail oriented with solid research and analytical skills + Excellent communication and organizational skills Red Hat is proud to be an equal opportunity workplace and an affirmative action employer.
