Procurement Manager
Overview
Job Description
B3Living is the largest provider of social housing in the Broxbourne area, owning and providing almost 5000 homes across Hertfordshire and Essex. Our mission is to build and manage affordable homes - for social rent, private rent and shared ownership - helping to tackle the housing crisis in Broxbourne. We are a financially secure organisation with a robust business plan and ambitious plans for growth. A recent review has identified opportunities to improve the way we target, deliver and report on our procurement activity and we're looking for a Procurement Manager to lead on this work. You will develop and manage the full procurement cycle from sourcing and tendering to outcome reporting whilst ensuring the consistent engagement of stakeholders in procurement across the organisation and that value for money is maximised. This newly created role presents an exciting opportunity for an experienced procurement specialist to help embed a revised procurement strategy and to champion best practice and compliance in line with our organisational values. With experience in social housing or wider public sector procurement, you'll be familiar with running formal procurement exercises in line with the Public Contract Regulations (2015). Ideally you will hold a full or part CIPS qualification (or have the desire to pursue a professional qualification) and have a clear understanding of the value of effective procurement. The ability to influence and effectively engage stakeholders in matters relating to procurement are essential. This role is open to flexible working arrangements and can be done on a job share basis. We offer a competitive benefits package including generous leave entitlements and a group personal pension scheme. We believe in the benefits of a diverse workforce and strongly welcome applications from those currently under-represented in the organisation, including LGBT (lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender) people, people with disabilities and people from black, Asian and minority ethnic backgrounds.
