Our client is looking for Procurement Lead:



Qualifications:

• University Degree or equivalent in Engineering and/or Supply Chain Management

• Minimum 2 years’ experience as a team leader and 5 years working with Purchasing/Acquisitions. Experience in oil and gas industry is a plus.

• Understanding of import/export procedures and regulations.

• Familiar with purchasing regulations and legislation in country

• Strong leadership skills.

• Very good communicator, fluent in written and spoken English.

• Ability to travel internationally and offshore if required.


Responsibilities:

Lead team of buyers overlooking the procuring of Services and/or equipment/materials in accordance with the technical specification, at the best commercial solution for the business.

• Make sure all purchases are executed in compliance with Company’s policies and Local Content Regulations.

• Prepare and analyze KPIs for the team and help set strategies for the department.

• Monitor and evaluate team performance.

• Act proactively to prevent Procurement delays or backlog creation.

• Provide support on major negotiations and vendor relationship.

• Maintain records as required by the internal and external procedures and regulations.

• Review purchase orders, analyzing the technical requirements and commercial conditions.

• Provide guidance and support on the preparation for Requests for Information (RFI), Request for Proposals (RFP), and contract writing whenever necessary.

• Participate in vendor’s performance meetings and to provide constructive feedback.
