They deliver imaginative, collaborative and ambitious programmes which transform lives through literature, especially through working with people in deprived places and challenging circumstances. Pop Up are seeking an enthusiastic volunteer to become their Board Assistant for two to three years. This is an important, small-scale role and will involve an estimated 5 days a year, including attending four evening Board meetings (please note that one of these meetings might be longer as an 'away day'). Meetings are usually held in January, April, July and October annually and take place in London, but can be attended remotely from time to time. All travel costs and expenses will be covered. This role would be suitable for someone who is interested in entering the arts sector as a PA or administrator (e.g. while pursuing a degree in Arts Administration), and who is keen to learn about Boards and how they function first-hand. An interest in literature, publishing or arts education is desirable but not required.
