You will be working for a premier account serviced by TransPerfect, requiring an extremely high level of service, professionalism, and translation quality and care. Your particular language skills and investment banking knowledge will allow you to produce well-polished and client-facing translations up to the standards of the client. As a Translator will be responsible for managing all aspects of quality production on the translations coming across your desk. DESCRIPTION * Translate documents, specific to the finance and investment banking areas * Edit jobs by freelance translators and reach out to senior linguists for final approval on modifications * Comply with style guides, contribute to glossaries and translation memories, and keeping track of past projects and references * Juggle multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment * Utilize technology tools to improve account efficiency and KPI performance (quality, timeliness, productivity) * Respond to client calls and project requests in real time during working hours * Receive requests from client, understand the scope, negotiate timelines if needed and coordinate with Project Managers for offsite translations, deliver translations directly to the client and follow up on feedback and revisions * Language quality investigations on their own work based on client feedback * Ad hoc tasks as requested by the Account Leads or your supervisor REQUIREMENTS * Native-level fluency in Simplified Chinese and English * Minimum Bachelors degree or its equivalent * Flexibility to work in a shift schedule that includes weekends (Sunday to Thursday or Tuesday to Saturday) and provide coverage on holidays as requested * 3-5 years of experience translating or editing documents * Excellent communication (written and verbal) skills in Simplified Chinese and English * Ability to support multiple projects by keeping accurate and up-to-date project specs * Ability to accept feedback and use it advantageously on future tasks
