The ‘Financial Crime planning Manager’ will join Altery at an exciting time due to the growth plans
we have as a business and the scale up of the Financial Crime Operations team. The role holder will
be responsible for leading all activities in relations to workforce and demand planning. This will
include activities such as building the process in which Altery calculates the necessary resource
models using company demand levers, developing shift patterns for all teams to ensure that we have
24/7 coverage across Financial Crime Operations and ensuring we have rigour across all our resource
and demand planning processes.
The role holder will work closely with our Compliance team, MLRO, Product and Data teams to
ensure a uniform & coordinated approach to creating a safe and seamless operating framework that
can sustainably scale with Altery’s rapid growth.
Responsibilities and Duties:
● Lead the process of calculating the resource needs for Delivery Operations (looking at the
number of riders, pickers, and ad hoc store staff)
● Lead the continual improvement of our forecasting ability to enable us to accurately have
enough resources per shift (while balancing the impact on the overall Cost Per alert)
● Lead the development process of uploading shift patterns on to our scheduling/workforce
management tool
● Support the wider Data/Business Intelligence Team, where required to ensure we have the
correct data feeds to enable accurate and sustainable planning.
● Own any Workforce planning process and work across Financial Crime Operations to deliver
against the current annual plan and budget
● Provoke interest and identify some quick wins with short term workforce decisions.
● Propose opportunities to further standardise, simplify and automate the
approach/systems/software across the process wherever possible
● Work with, and understand, the interfaces between OE, People Analytics and senior
stakeholders (within HR, Finance and across the enterprise)
● Build relationships and a narrative around the importance and benefits of workforce planning
● Work with senior leadership to define the Workforce Planning business priorities and build
the end-to-end next generation process
● Build a framework, or conceptual model, for deepening the involvement of HR in workforce
planning decisions
● Lead the development and piloting of workforce planning solutions in key business units
Experience & Knowledge
● 3+ years experience in leading the resource & demand planning across a large scale
organisation within Financial Services
● Background & educational qualifications in the following areas are beneficial but not
essential; Computer Science, Mathematics & Economics
● Experience communicating complex information accurately, clearly, and quickly to all levels
of management, regulators, auditors, and third parties.
● You are extremely knowledgeable & experienced with Excel/ Google Sheets
● Extensive knowledge & experience in developing shift patterns within a growing team
● You have experience monitoring shift uptake and methods to improve shift uptake, including
ad hoc bonuses to attract uptake
● You have experience monitoring the use of roles and understanding when roles become
obsolete
● You have experience of finding ways to utilise staff to increase uptake/ utilisation
● Able to present results and findings to senior stakeholders

● Excellent communication skills

● Knowledge of or an interest in workforce skills, skill development, personal development,
career paths, internal mobility, the future of work would be advantageous.
● Working knowledge of workforce management systems
● Proven ability to understand, evaluate and resolve problems
