We are looking to increase our Positive Behaviour Support Team to enable a customer in Chard to live with dignity and independence. "I am an active 26 year old autistic lady with a diagnosis of PTSD who lives in Chard. I am looking for experienced Support Workers and a Senior Support Worker to support me to access the community, try new experiences and live a fulfilled life. I am looking for dedicated, loyal staff members whom I can build a working relationship based on trust. I need my support staff to be understanding, supportive, and patient and have experience with challenging behaviour. I need my staff team to also have the ability to stay calm under pressure. Due to my individual needs and behaviours, ideally I need my Waking Night Support Worker to be male." A Positive Behaviour Support Worker supports Customers to develop a fulfilling life in accordance with their person centred support plan . Our successful candidate will need to have experience and knowledge that will enable them to work with the customer to develop the customers PBS plan further in the future as their life changes and develops. This can be a physically demanding role, but you will be a successful Positive Behaviour Support Worker if you: * Have a caring, kind and empathetic approach * Bring enthusiasm, commitment and regard everyone as equal * Are passionate about making a difference * Have great communication skills * Are able to work flexibly on set shifts including weekends * Have some work or life experience of learning disability or challenging behaviour support You will be given full training and support right from the outset.
