Job Description
We are looking to increase our Positive Behaviour Support Team to enable a customer in Highbridge to live with dignity and independence. We're looking to add to the team who support a 22 year old female with Down's Syndrome and Autism who likes to swim, and enjoys order and routine. This young lady would benefit from being supported by someone who has lots of experience in support work or plenty of life experience and some similar interests. A Positive Behaviour Support Worker supports Customers to develop a fulfilling life in accordance with their person centred support plan . They will also have experience and knowledge that will enable them to work with the customer to develop the customers PBS plan. They will work as part of a team but may work alone and without direct supervision to support individuals to maximise their independence and choice over daily living activities and lifestyle. The purpose of the Positive Behaviour Support Worker role is to deliver care every day of the year, including early mornings, evenings, weekends and Bank Holidays. This can be a physically demanding role, but you will be a successful Positive Behaviour Support Worker if you: * Have a caring, kind and empathetic approach * Bring enthusiasm, commitment and regard everyone as equal * Are passionate about making a difference * Have great communication skills * Are able to work flexibly on set shifts including weekends * Have some work or life experience of learning disability or challenging behaviour support You will be given full training and support right from the outset.
