The Opportunity Revenue Optimisation Manager, London, Competitive Salary & Benefits EDF Energy has an exciting new opportunity for a Revenue Optimisation Manager based in London. The electricity generation landscape is changing with alternative non-fossil generation capabilities continuing to grow year on year. Not only is there a core need for the generation, but National Grid are looking more and more for Transmission and Distribution connected assets to provide a range of supporting ancillary services. EDFR play a large part in the renewable movement, actively involved in on shore and off shore wind, solar and battery storage development and operations. The Revenue Optimisation Manager is responsible for ensuring that all the assets under EDF Renewables management are maximising their revenues. This involves monitoring and investigating markets, regulations and opportunities that may become available in the future whilst also dealing with the current trading and operating arrangements to ensure that the assets maximise their revenues. The focus will be on maximising the revenue for the lifetime of the assets, not just the short term. A key part of this role will be the monitoring and performance review of the physical assets, and impact that various operating strategies have on the asset and its long term operating capabilities. The review and analysis will underpin the operating strategy of the assets, which is a key responsibility of the role. Working with the Asset Operations team to ensure the analysis and strategy is understood by the business and the resulting actions taken will improve the portfolio's overall availability and performance levels. The Revenue Optimisation Manager will be required to take initiative with developments and projects, schedule operational related activities within the team and put in place the solutions for the rest of the Operations team to operate. The role will also require providing a level of guidance and support to the members of the performance team, and also to the wider EDFR group. The scope of work is to cover all assets (wind, solar and storage). The Person Our ideal candidate has a background in energy markets and is very familiar with the electricity market and its regulations in particular. The role will be very varied, and so the person must be able to operate on both on the analytical side and also contractually with assets having multiple complex commercial agreements, and a need to hold Commercial partners to account. The successful candidate will be establishing new processes and must be able and confident to work independently and take initiative on delivering new commercial and business arrangements. The Skills Academic qualification at Degree level or recognised equivalent. Experience within UK Energy Market & Regulation. Specific familiarity with the UK energy trading arrangements Highly numerate with strong analytical and modelling skills, including proven ability to build and maintain new models as well as challenge existing models. Highly organised individual, with ability to manage a large number of activities concurrently. Enthusiasm and motivation to work individually and also the required skills to work as part of a team.
