Job Title: Senior Management Accountant - Revenue Job Description: The Senior Management Accountant will be responsible for the financial and management accounting for revenue for nominated Dentsu Aegis London Limited brands. They will be supported in the performance of their tasks by other members of the Financial Reporting and Analysis team both in London and Offshore (India). Responsibilities: * Responsibility to work with Finance Teams Offshore and across FR&A in London to ensure consistent, accurate and timely reporting * Review and finalise monthly management accounting for revenue, costs and expenses, accruals and prepayments, for multiple brands within tight deadlines * Analyse and report on changes to revenue, and revenue-related balance sheet lines, Month-on-month, Year to date and against Forecast * Complete balance sheet account reconciliations for high risk or subjective accounts to ensure all risk items are identified and actively managed * Review and approve balance sheet account reconciliations prepared by Offshore accounting teams to ensure risks and open items are being resolved * Prepare, or approve, journals for input by the Offshore team * Provide guidance to Offshore teams on reporting and accounting requirements * Month end tasks to verify client revenues, which includes overseeing the accrued and deferred income balance sheet accounts * Working with the business Client teams and Operations teams each month, to create reliable and accurate monthly revenue accruals * Review and approve billable and unbillable client travel & expenditure * Responsibility to ensure the accurate submission of all month-end balance sheet, income statement, and CPS data in BPC * Reconciliation of all rebates contractually due back to clients * Continuous improvements in the processes for reporting Revenues * Preparation of management information for key stakeholders, including the Central UK Reporting team and senior management, on P&L variances at month-end, reforecasts and on an ad hoc basis as required. * Support the preparation of forecast data each quarter * Key involvement in internal and external audits, including the preparation of information requests for review by the FC/FD. * Review unbilled amounts each month to follow-up with the Operations teams * Review management of receivables and payables ledgers by Finance Operations to assess the need for provisions * Escalate collection of debt * Review and sign off Intracompany and Intercompany reconciliations * Assist the Director of FR&A with any projects, particularly process standardisation * Review VAT return calculations, and Corporation Tax packs, prepared by Offshore, and submit to the Central Team Personal Specification * ACA/ CIMA/ ACCA qualified accountant. The ideal candidate is likely to have a minimum 1-2 years PQE * Must have previous experience of accounting for Revenues * Previous experience of both Management and Financial Accounting * Advanced user of Excel * Proven experience of successful collaboration between finance and non-finance people * Prior experience in a commercial finance / business partnering role. * Experience in Commerce is essential (as opposed to public practice) with Media / marketing communications sector experience desirable * Previous experience working with offshore teams * Ability to be accountable and take ownership for key tasks and responsibilities on a day to day basis. * Ability to work to challenging deadlines in demanding fast paced environment * Ability to juggle multiple priorities to deliver the strategic objectives of the market * Excellent interpersonal skills and relationship building capabilities with the ability to quickly form working relationships and gain credibility with senior management * Exhibits a drive for continuous improvement of processes and operational excellence in their area of responsibility What you'll get from us Dentsu Aegis Network is a fantastic place to work with many great benefits on offer including 25 days' annual holiday, Pension, Cycle to Work Scheme, and get your Birthday day off!
