Job Description

The opportunity has arisen for a Band 6 Physiotherapist working within the National Allogeneic Stem Cell Transplant Service at the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital. This service provides high quality patient-centred care through both inpatient and outpatient settings to those living with and beyond a cancer diagnosis. The post will also include cross-site cover to the Physiotherapy Service within the Beatson West of Scotland Cancer Centre. You will take responsibility for a complex clinical caseload incorporating patient assessment, treatment and discharge from care. You will work within multiprofessional teams to ensure co-ordinated care for patients and will also be required to provide leadership, clinical supervision and support to junior staff and students . It is essential that you have an Honours / Diploma / Degree in Physiotherapy and that you are a registered Physiotherapist with the Health and Care Professions Council. You should have been qualified for a substantial time and have knowledge of current best practice in chosen specialty. You should also have documented evidence of commitment to CPD and post graduate learning. The shift pattern for this post is days.
