Job Description
IT Infrastructure Technician Apprenticeship Apprenticeship Summary Hours: Monday - Friday 35 hours Location: Head Office, Hammersmith Hourly Rate: 4 - 6p/h (Flexible based on experience) Duration: 13 Months (EPA 15 Months) Role Overview Support the smooth running of all first line support within LMP's Head Office, IT department. You will be supporting the IT team in ensuring that all IT functions are working smoothly, once familiarised with the system the apprentice will become a point of call for staff in resolving issues that seek your attention. Training is delivered by LMP Education which is essential in the lead up to gaining the end qualification, the apprentice will be guided through the apprenticeship with relevant responsibilities set in place. Vacancy Description * Auditing the site and supporting the scheduling of IT work, avoiding clashes with meetings * Provide support for various members of staff across the workplace departments * To work under the direction of the Line Manager, class teachers and other staff to support maintenance functions * Ensuring all new starter laptops are fully ready and prepared for when staff start. * Creating systems that can help staff for ticketing or logging issues with their equipment * If necessary operating phone systems, such as setting extensions or ensuring the readiness of laptops for new staff * Various other roles which come under your responsibilities as an infrastructure technician * To study relevant qualifications while you earn Training within the Role This training programme focuses on developing your knowledge around IT. The qualification aims to grow your existing skillset in the following key areas: * IT User Fundamentals * Spreadsheets * Word processing * Punctual in various presenting software's and how they operate * How to use databases efficiently and to your employers benefit * IT Security for users * Website software, fluent on which software's are best suited to hitting a target e.g. more sales, gaining traction to social media or more * Desktop publishing software As an LMP Apprentice you can expect to work alongside experienced staff,gain job-specific skills, industry experience,earn a sustainable wageall whilst you study and work towards yourqualifications! Education and Experience Required: (REQUIRED) * 5 GSCE's (Grade A-C) including English and Maths for the Level 3 * Have a passion and understanding of IT functionality (Desired) Desired Skills: * Able to manage a workload to that of a high standard * Basic understanding of virtual security, cloud, firewalls etc. (not essential) * Can communicate well to staff in relation to resolving issues * Able to identify problems and then manage a solution Desired Personal Qualities: * Enthusiastic and have an interest in working whilst learning * Reliable, committed and punctual attitude * Professional, organised and attention to detail * Previous experience of working within a business environment (desired) * Confidence in your own ability to want to learn and develop Things to Consider Three Stage Application Process: * First Stage; Your application will be processed through our resource team.
