Apprenticeship Placement Qualification : Human Resources Level 3 Location : Client placement Salary : c.140 p/w Hours : 35 hours p/w About LMP Group LMP Group focuses on education, training and social impact; working together to bring about positive, sustainable change. Job Purpose Our HR Apprenticeship Programme provides you with the opportunity to learn whilst working as a member of HR staff. You will gain the vital experience essential if HR is the sector you want to work in after. On the job you will be given tasks aimed to adapt your skills alongside expanding your knowledge on the vital day to day duties. Responsibilities: It is not exhaustive, and it is not intended that every Apprentice will undertake the full range of tasks: * Creating or adjusting current documentation systems put in place, improve efficiency in the workplace * Ensure all employees have up to date contact references and perform background checks for full-time staff * Consult with Full-Time staff regarding holidays, updating relevant system to show this on record, as well as marking sick days or lateness * Handling various other day to day queries you are able to assist with * Where possible to provide HR advice further through your apprenticeship, allows you to see the progression made * Check and confirm changes with payroll * Filing, photocopying, shredding, and dealing with incoming and outgoing post All Apprentices are required to attend learning sessions by LMP Education; this is essential in order to work towards the end qualification. Failure to adhere to this may result in a loss of placement or removal from our recruiting database Training Focus: This training programme focuses on developing classroom delivery and work within schools. As an entry level apprenticeship, you will learn the basics of how to excel as part of the HR department. Training is coursework based, apprentices are able to achieve a pass or distinction. To gain a pass the apprentice will have to achieve all components being assessed, likewise, to gain a distinction however must exceed in a number of components being assessed. The qualification aims to grow your existing skillset in the following key areas: * Knowledge of HR systems, how and where to use them effectively in scenarios * Communicating as a team to various departments across the company/school * Organisation of documentation, staying ahead of workload * Following relevant procedures put in place such as background checks etc. * Ability to listen in on problems to then provide an alternative or solution to the issue being raised Desired Skills * Essential : Grade A*-C (or new equivalent) in English and Maths * Able to deal effectively with colleagues/customers, using sound interpersonal skills and communicating well through a range of interactions e.g. phones, face to face etc. * Working as a team, supporting colleagues and the team to achieve HR related goals * Can keep up to date with workload, adapt to a busy environment where processing documents to a deadline may be required * Takes ownership of tasks to see them through till a resolution has been concluded * Driven and self-motivated * ICT (MS Office) skills * Motivated and enthusiastic * A confident communicator * Professionally presented * Punctual and reliable * Positive attitude to change in work environment Work Environment Your work environment for the nature of this role will be based on site at a client office location, this can vary depending upon our client's needs and geographical location.Your role will usually be based at a head office or regional site with certain assessment days and training periods being held off site.Our clients are professional, ambitious and focus on employee growth & development.
