Head of PEP & High Risk Financial Crime Exits Glasgow As we continue to focus on expanding our business in Glasgow, we are looking for a Head of PEP & High Risk Financial Crime to join our Wholesale On-boarding & Group Financial Crime team. What you'll be doing In this role you will lead a utility function which provides Enhanced Due Diligence reviews for PEPs & High Risk Financial Crime across the bank. Additionally, you will manage the risk to the Group arising from clients identified for exit due to Financial Crime. Key areas of responsibility are: Define the PEP Hub service offering in consultation with the business service buyers and operate within SLA while adhering to regulatory and policy compliance requirements Accountable for a budget of up to 6 Million and responsible for achieving all financial and non-financial targets set to meet group targets. Determine future strategy for the PEP Hub including technology solutions, service expansion, KPIs, KRIs and metrics aligned to strategic priorities Set Group strategy for the management of complex Financial Crime Exits, develop the implementation strategy for all aspects of financial crime exits including technology solutions, data management & system reconciliation, MI & reporting Develop a Financial Crime Exit Management service to be offered to service buyers that goes beyond current exit coordination and reporting Operate the Group Financial Crime Exits Forum and report into Trading Entity Financial Crime Oversight Meetings Establish effective working relationships with key stakeholders and sponsors of all levels of seniority within global Business Units, Operations, Financial Crime, Compliance and IT delivery teams Manage competing demands & be able to deliver difficult messages especially in respect of reporting BU performance in the execution of Financial Crime exits. Be prepared to provide robust challenge to BU decisions to retain clients where there is evidence of Financial Crime What we're looking for Experience of working in Financial Crime Operations or Regulatory / Compliance environments along with PEP/High Risk Financial Crime Exits Awareness of banking front to back infrastructure and Financial Crime processes & AML legislation Excellent level of communication and diplomacy, ability to question the status quo and escalate where necessary Desirable Qualifications - ACAMS Skills that will help you in the role A track record of creating and developing high performing teams operating in a global business The ability to deliver continuous improvement and successful change programmes that provide positive outcomes Pragmatic; possesses good judgment, politically astute and able to understand the dynamics of large, complex organisations Highly organised, with excellent time management skills & the ability to work in a pressurized environment High energy, hands-on, and results & goal-oriented Where will you be working At Barclays, we are proud to be redefining the future of finance and here in Glasgow we are defining the future of the workplace and the future of the way we work and live.
