Glasgow City Health and Social Care Partnership Post: Head of Older People and Primary Care Services Salary: NHS: Agenda for Change 8C: £71,365 -£76,914 per annum Council: LDR 2b, Grade 10: £68,991.18 - £80,065.27 per annum . Tenure: Permanent Hours: NHS - 37.5 hours/Council 35 hours Location: William Street, Glasgow Relocation package where appropriate Accountable to the Assistant Chief Officer (Older People's Services), this post has three significant areas of responsibility: operational management, strategic direction and leadership for Older People's Services, Physical Disability Services and services for people with long term conditions on behalf of the Health & Social Care Partnership within one of the city's three localities; operational management of a range of specialist services that are 'hosted' within the HSCP but provide a service citywide and/or NHS Board-wide; Responsibility for Primary Care Services, including liaison with independent contractors and responsibility for directly employed staff. These roles and responsibilities may apply city and/or board wide. Post holders will be expected to represent the HSCP (Glasgow City Council and NHS Greater Glasgow & Clyde) at a national level on such issues as required. Applicants should be educated to Masters Degree Level or equivalent, such as a degree and relevant professional qualification, with significant senior management experience within a large, complex organisation, preferably within the NHS / Local Authority or Public/Caring Sector. Experience of managing at a senior level in a multidisciplinary and multiagency environment with responsibility for care, staff and financial governance is also required. This is an integrated position as part of the Glasgow Health and Social Care Partnership. The successful applicant, if an employee of the Partnership, will be appointed to the post under the terms and conditions of either Glasgow City Council (GCC) or NHS Greater Glasgow & Clyde (NHSGGC), depending on current employer. If the successful applicant is not an employee of the Partnership, they may choose to be appointed to the post under the terms and conditions of either GCC or NHSGGC.
