Do you have experience in data businesses? Do you have experience working in the financial services industry? Have you driven new revenue, built customer pipelines and/or exceeded targets for a new high-growth business? At Amazon Web Services (AWS) in London, we're looking for a Financial Services Business Development Manager to join the AWS Data Exchange team, a new service that makes it easy for millions of AWS customers to securely find, subscribe to, and use third-party data in the cloud. Responsibilities will include: Business Development Manager (individual contributor) that works with Financial Services customers spanning retail and commercial banking, payments, capital markets, and insurance, who are distributing and consuming data in the cloud to help them to onboard and build adoption of AWS Data Exchange. Onboard data providers and data subscribers to AWS Data Exchange and drive service utilization. Understand the unique technical requirements and workflows of financial services customers and work closely with the internal development teams to help guide the direction of our product offerings.. Define and size industry-specific customer segments, identify key financial services customers, and identify industry partners including ISVs/solution providers and system integrators. Create business development plans for identified opportunities and ensure these plans are in line with the AWS strategic direction. Execute business development plans working closely with internal stakeholders including product management, engineering, legal, marketing, and finance. Engage in senior-level customer meetings to discuss customer's business challenges and explore how the AWS Data Exchange service can help address and resolve these issues. Establish ways to measure and track metrics related to adoption of AWS Data Exchange, and to make improvements to the approach based on those measurements. Prepare and give business reviews to the senior management team regarding progress and metrics related to financial services customers. Help handle a high volume of engagements and the fast pace of the cloud computing market. Stay up to date on industry trends through conducting market research and participating in industry-specific conferences. Travel up to 50% to meet with customers, prospects, partners, account teams. Ideal candidates understand the growing role cloud computing plays in enterprise IT, have an entrepreneurial spirit, understand the types of data used in financial services workflows, and have experience working in or with data distribution businesses. We expect everyone to be tenacious, scrappy, and wear many hats. You will confidently represent our team in front of leaders of all levels across the company and educate customers, prospects, and our sales teams on what you've built and how to use it.
