Description Job Purpose and Company Info: Daub Alderney Limited Daub Alderney Limited is part of Stride Gaming Plc and operates as part of a Group of companies ("Stride Group" or "Group") in a multijurisdictional regulated environment. Stride Together Limited is the B2B arm of Stride Group and business owner of the joint venture relationship, Aspers Online Limited. Daub Alderney is the principal licenced entity and as a result, whilst employed by Stride Together Limited, this position has responsibilities which are governed by the operating governance framework adopted by the Daub Board of Directors. Where pragmatic, overarching Group Policies, procedures and controls are adopted and oversight of those documents are by Daub Alderney Limited. Job Role : Supporting the oversight of the internal procedures and controls put in place by Daub Alderney Limited and the Stride Group, to meet its regulatory requirements as well as its internal policies and strategy, vision and values. Be the point of contact and operational control support between the Aspers Land-based casino and Stride Together so as to facilitate compliance procedures and practices. Will be a member of the Data Protection Team, as part of the operating governance framework with responsiblity for ensuring the risks associated with GDPR and other relevant legislation are identified and mitigated. This role will follow the leadership of both the Stride Together Business Development Director and the Head of Operational Control and it will be required to work through the operating governance framework of Daub. The position will have a line management reporting line both into the Stride Together Business Development Director and the Head of Operational Control of Daub Alderney Limited. Responsibilities: * Support the Head of Operational Control in taking responsibility in supporting the business and its strategy by designing procedures and controls to meet both the regulatory requirements and the internal policies of the business, which might be wider than just our regulatory obligations; * Support the Head of Operational Control in evaluating the regulatory compliance, financial crime compliance and other risks and develop strategies through the design of internal procedures and controls to mitigate those risks; * Support the Operational Control Department in providing guidance to the Daub board of directors, senior management, staff, and employees on the internal procedures and controls; * To support the Head of Operational Control in the development of Daub and the Stride Together and Aspers Online internal policies; * Assist the Head of Operational Control and the Business Development Director to produce reports to be submitted to both the Aspers Online and Daub Board of Directors on a regular basis [normally monthly] on the status of its internal procedures and controls including their design and effectiveness; * Participate in the Operational Control Committee [or otherwise agreed by the Daub Board of Directors], which reports to the Daub Board of Directors and to the Business Risk Assessment Panel as part of the operating governance framework; * Participate in other operating governance committees and panels as required; * Participate in the Aspers Online monthly compliance panel and follow up as the main link between The AO JV, Daub OC and Compliance and Risk; * Manage and own, in conjunction with OC, the internal and external regulatory relationship risks regarding the AO JV; * In conjunction with the Compliance and Risk Committee and the Regulatory Advisory Panel support the Head of Operational Control in the analysis of new and proposed legislation that impacts company operation and initiate appropriate action plans to ensure that procedure and controls meet these requirements; * Assist the Head of Operational Control and the Business Development Director and collaborate with other departments (mainly offline part of the AO JV) and where required operating governance committees to monitor the enforcement of the company's procedures and controls; * Engage fully, as required, in external audits and compliance assessments conducted by the UK Gambling Commission and the Alderney Gambling Control Commission and any other regulatory bodies or third-party audit companies; * Assist the Head of Operational Control in devising staff training in all procedures and controls; * Support the Head of Operational Control in reporting breaches, complaints and other incidents to the appropriate committees for onwards reporting to internal and external bodie; * Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organisations; * Ensuring the compliance of responsible gaming protocols; * Any other duties as requested by the Company.
