About the Role As Governance & Operational Excellence (GOE) Operations Manager you will work within an agile framework in which you will self-organize with your GOE peers to deliver on GIA related activities as well as participate in GIA's audits, initiatives and projects as appropriate. The GOE team's key focus is to lead and handle a number of activities providing reliable, valuable services to GIA within the scope of Professional Practices and Operational Excellence. Key elements of this role are delivered by working within the agile framework as a development team member who focus on the following topics: audit methodology, audit committee reporting, system content management, quality assurance, staff training, operational activities and budgeting. About the Team Group Internal Audit provide independent and objective assurance that assists the Board of Directors and Group Executive Committee to protect the assets, reputation and sustainability of the organization. We perform audit activities designed to assess the adequacy and effectiveness of the Group's internal control systems, and to add value through improving the Group's operations. About You We are searching for an AUDITOR, who would like to get their foot into the Swiss Re door via the Governance & Operational Excellence team with Group Internal Audit. We are searching for candidates with at least 5 years of Audit experience Education and experience: * Minimum of 5+ years of work experience, preferably within Internal Audit or Operational Excellence in insurance or financial services industry * Risk management, control and assurance techniques * In depth awareness of internal audit standard methodologies and current and emerging assurance issues for this industry sector * CPA, CA, CIA or professional certification (preferred) * MBB, BB, PMP, LEAN Six Sigma, CM or other operational certifications (preferred) * Technology background & data analytics a plus * University degree (preferred) Personal skills: * Critical problem solver that sees the "big picture" (e.g. overall themes, trends, goals), generates innovative ideas and solutions to problems and makes recommendations in the face of complexity, conflicting pressures and ambiguous circumstances * Result oriented manager, able to plan well and deliver results in time * Professional communicator, able to gain and maintain a positive relationship while delivering difficult messages * Structured analyst, capable to use data analytics to structure data used in internal and external reporting * Technology and systems awareness, able to lead changes & upgrades of GIA audit systems and tools * Team worker, able to listen to others but also influence in order to see the wider picture and achieve a vision We are an equal opportunity employer and value diversity at our company.
