ABOUT THE TEAM Our Risk team sits at the very core of Revolut. It works across functions, products, and regions to monitor front-line performance and ensure that the business is on safe footing. ABOUT THE ROLE We're looking for a Lead Operational Risk Manager to be a key member of our risk team in our London HQ. Our aim is to build the risk function of one of the most successful financial technology firms in the world. Today we dig into Revolut app technology, tomorrow into treasury and finance and next week into customer support and help assessing risks of international expansion projects. We are a small team, so you will not miss anything and your contribution will be very visible. What you'll be doing: Leading operational risk assurance and thematic reviews across Revolut's global business; Planning, reporting and assisting the first line to establish effective and efficient action plans as well as lessons learnt; Collaborate with other Second and Third Line Partners and act as the trusted advisor and enabler for non financial risk management matters across the firm and maintain a coordinated consolidated assurance plan; Lead Risk and Control Assessment Workshops; Work with the first line of defence to identify, assess, document and regularly review operational risks and associated controls; Provide risk and control expertise around key Business initiatives such as new products or projects; Coach the business to embed and operate sustainably the Operational Risk Framework and to design and implement effective controls; Support the design and build of our operational risk engine; Assist with developing key risk indicators; Monitor operational risks against limits, produce respective reports; Take ownership of the risk incident management process including registration of risk events, managing and delivering risk incident reports; Conduct presentations and workshops in risk identification and mitigation. WHAT SKILLS YOU'LL NEED 2:1 degree from a top university & at least 7 years of work experience in Operational Risk Management or Management Consulting in financial services; Deep first hand experience in at least one vertical capability (such as operational processes, technology, finance, sales, distribution, product design etc); Good, practical knowledge of statistics and probabilities; Previous examples of practically interpreting and simplifying complexity; A track-record of high achievement.
