Job Description

Job Title: Commercial Controller Job Description: The purpose of this role is to assist the Finance Director in delivering timely and accurate management information to the business through analysis of business unit performance to support decision making. The role will work alongside the Finance Director and the business to identify improvement opportunities in the current processes. Key Accountabilities: * Financial Planning & Decision Support with full ownership of the p/l (reviewed and supported by the Finance Director) * Business partnering across divisional client teams, including supporting budget holders in monitoring spend, planning, forecasting and analysis Support development of the annual budget and forecasts * Support in the standardisation and improvement of the forecasting process * Analysis and identification of risks and opportunities including developing a process for consistently agreeing and approving a revenue target for key clients * Preparation of management reporting & insight * Preparation and analysis of results including preparing commentary on income variances, trends and challenges, and discussing variances with stakeholders * Help to resolve key business issues and problems by delivering solutions and recommendations, based on sound analysis, for the Finance Director * Supporting the Finance Director and/or Commercial Director in commercial proposals * Supporting the Finance Director in monitoring and reviewing people utilisation * Ad-hoc project work, providing detailed analysis to support decision making Qualifications and experience The ideal candidate will have the following qualifications and experience: * ACA (or equivalent) qualified accountant, with a minimum 2-3 years PQE, qualified through practise * Excel (advanced), BPC/SAP, Tableau, Salesforce systems knowledge desirable * Knowledge of IFRS and accounting standards * International and local (UK) experience * Previous experience working within a large listed company * Experience in the Media Sector * Successful collaboration between finance and non-finance teams * Prior experience in a commercial finance/business partnering role * Internal and external stakeholder management, including communications with senior leadership * Experience liaising with and supporting FP&A and management reporting * Experience with forecasting and modelling tools * Exposure to and/or previous participation in pitches * Prior exposure to managing junior personnel Key skills * Ability to be accountable and take ownership for key tasks and responsibilities on a day to day basis. * Ability to work to challenging deadlines in demanding fast paced environment * Ability to juggle multiple priorities to deliver the strategic objectives of the market * Excellent interpersonal skills and relationship building capabilities with the ability to quickly form working relationships and gain credibility with senior management * Exhibits a drive for continuous improvement of processes and operational excellence in their area of responsibility What you'll get from us Dentsu Aegis Network is a fantastic place to work with many great benefits on offer including 25 days' annual holiday, Pension, Cycle to Work Scheme, and get your Birthday day off!
