Functional Area: FA - Finance Estimated Travel Percentage (%): Relocation Provided: AIG Asset Management (Europe) Limited Your future team The Investments function provides investment advisory and asset management services to AIG. The Investment department's in-house investment platform spans multiple asset classes, including high grade and high yield corporate and sovereign debt, structured products, private placements, private equity and hedge funds, and real estate investments. An experienced Financial Accountant you will be an integral part of the Investments Controllership Finance Team in London. The role will include managing 1 direct report. Your contribution at AIG Coordinating and managing the billing process Assisting with the preparation of the statutory financial reporting for a UK-based asset manager and its branch location(s) as well as an Irish property holding company and ensure that reporting is completed in a timely manner. Coordinate & manage the preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual management accounting reporting for Non -US Investment Companies. Review of the monthly/quarterly balance sheet reconciliations for Luxembourg, Dublin & London. Assisting with the preparation of Board decks. Production and distribution of key performance indicators. Cash Flow forecasting for entities & branches. Assist with the Accounts Payable Process. Prepare local VAT returns. Working with corporate tax on tax computations for the London & Dublin entities in line with current guidelines. Assist with production of the FCA quarterly return and annual returns. Implement and review of internal controls and enhancing procedures to improve efficiency and streamline automation of manual processes. Assisting with the preparation of the financial statement under FRS102 guidelines. Assisting with the preparation of the Internal Capital Adequacy Assessment Process (ICAAP). Participating in the Annual AAMEL Budget Process. Working with the auditors (internal & external). Provide support to the Controller where appropriate. Participate in the local Risk Management meetings where required. Handling queries and ad hoc reporting requirements for the respective entities. What we are looking for Degree educated ACA / ACCA Qualified Accountant or Equivalent (solid post qualified experience) Project Management experience Proven experience in working in an organisation with tight Group Reporting deadlines across all Financial Disciplines (e.g. Accounts, Tax, Treasury) Experience in managing people Proven experience in the Financial Services Industry preferably in a multi-currency environment SAP experience including production of reports and interrogation Ability to produce meaningful KPI's to support business growth Experience of handling finance projects from start to finish UK GAAP/FRS102/US GAAP Audit Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills In return we can offer you a rewarding career along with a competitive package which includes a consistent bonus, car allowance and excellent benefits.
