Global Marketing Director Location: RTP, North Carolina, GSK House, Brentford, UK as preference but will also consider other locations We have an exciting opportunity to work in a fast paced, high performing cross-functional team as Global Marketing Director. The GMD Will be responsible for acritical drug, whichis a key asset for GSK and represents a fabulous opportunity for an experienced Operational Marketeer, looking for a future trajectory as a market GM, ready to help drive strategy which could impact shareholder value and bring solutions to patients with unmet needs. The GMD, reporting to the Medicines Commercialization leader, will play a critical role in driving and implementing key global strategies and deliver results which create and drive the team to achieve business metrics. As part of a lean team, there is great opportunity to see across the whole brand, and to gain exposure to a range of cross functional stakeholders, across the levels of management and across geographies. Responsibilities: * Responsibility for the development and implementation of the drug strategy in the priority markets and across the regions, through: * Effective development, organisation of Medicines Commercialisation Team (MCT) meetings. Identification of key strategic topics and decisions needed and follow up on commitments made. * Leadership of monthly TA performance calls, identifying key issues and actions to address gaps * Leading effective LOC implementation calls monthly and ensuring key global strategies are implemented; any performance gaps are identified, discussed and actions put in place * Quarterly product broadcasts and communications plan to enable other markets to effectively engage with and implement the Global Strategy. * Updates to senior stakeholders through Monthly Performance Reports * Competitor intelligence lead for the brand, identifying key threats, opportunities and bringing together into clear competitor strategy. Driving the understanding and implementation of this strategy in the markets. * Key contact for the US team through in depth understanding of the US business, challenges opportunities and drivers. * Responsible for the end to end business planning process , involvement of key markets and effective communication to all stakeholders. * Responsible for the commercial input to forecasting activities including plan, update 2 and Long-Range Forecast (LRF) * Responsible to produce quarterly Investor Relation briefing documents alongside the US team * Leadership of the brand peer to peer strategy * Effective working with Customer Insight Director to ensure insights are considered, discussed and acted on when appropriate. * Key GMD contact for all regional leads * Responsibility to deliver results and create and drive the team to achieve business metrics using KPIs including content delivery performance. Drive improvement in global localisation of content. * Excellent cross-functional working with medical, market access and other teams to ensure delivery of key brand strategy and plans * Strategic brand input to congress strategy * Management of budget * Working with agencies to support projects This role will be supported by a Global Marketing Manager focused on the delivery of the following projects: * Competitive insights and implementation of competitor strategy with markets * Congress implementation * Peer to Peer programme delivery * Market call co-ordination; agendas, actions etc * Monthly perf meeting lead and follow up * Internal communications plan * Representation on other cross therapy area projects Skills & Experience: * In depth understanding of LOC operational implementation through working at senior level in LOC * Prior speciality experience * Ability to support and challenge in discussions with markets * Strong cross-functional working with a range of stakeholders * Entrepreneurial thinking and delivering, situational risk assessment as well as a strong drive in achieving high performance and goals * Strong strategic marketing ability * Ability to win others over to a common vision * High flexibility and openness for new ideas and approaches * Very good, clear communication skills (written and spoken) * Strong listening skills **The close date for this role will be Thursday 25th June 2020 COB** As a company driven by our values of Patient focus, Transparency, Respect and Integrity, we know inclusion and diversity are essential for us to be able to succeed.
