Job Description
We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Data & Analytics leader to join our team on a 6-month Fixed Term Contract! Data and Analytics is becoming an increasingly important enabler across the GSK business. As Global Head Procurement Data & Analytics, you will provide strategic leadership for Data & Analytics (D+A) across the Global Procurement function to enable an outcome and data driven decision-making culture trusted by the business and supported by accurate, relevant and timely procurement data (internal and external), and action-orientated insights and analytics. This role will provide YOU the opportunity to lead key activities to progress YOUR career. These responsibilities include some of the following: * Lead the Data, & Analytics (D+A) Programme across Global Procurement, managing the existing framework to support data-driven decision making * Accountable for all end-to-end Procurement data and reporting for all Procurement performance indicators, from extraction and data transformation/enrichment to visualisation in dashboards and advanced analysis tools * Manage the Decision Support team (8 people), providing guidance, support and development opportunities for all members of the team * Manage the D+A budget for procurement (~ 1M), advising on market trends and optimising the value of investments * Owner of the vision and multi-year roadmap for Procurement's Decision Support team, working closely with each category area to define use cases, then prioritising and executing the uses cases that bring the biggest value to the business * Develop a Data Management process across Global Procurement, ensuring both Procurement owned and Procurement influenceable data is managed and controlled centrally * Deliver an insights & analytics service to procurement, building & prioritising a pipeline of opportunities throughout the sourcing project lifecycle to improve the quality, efficiency and results of procurement activities & to help maximise opportunities * Oversee the Market Intelligence and Spend Analytics services to ensure advanced analytics, relevant insights & actions are provided to procurement using internal and external data * Create and deliver training for D+A, leveraging both internal and external best practices * Provide leadership and oversight for all strategic D+A projects across procurement (upstream and downstream) * Grow the digital procurement agenda and develop GSK's advanced analytical and AI capabilities within procurement APPLICATION CLOSING DATE - 22nd June 2020 Please take a copy of the Job Description, as this will not be available post closure of the advert. Basic Qualifications: We are looking for professionals with these required skills to achieve our goals: * Technical or numerical degree educated and/or relevant qualifications/experience * Experience working in corporate environments with a technology background (as a solution provider, consultant or practitioner) * Excellent technical skills with high levels of numeracy and accuracy (Excel, SQL etc) * Competent with visualisation software (e.g. Tableau, Qlik Sense etc) * Understand the benefits of data warehousing, data architecture, data quality processes, fact and dimension tables, and data modelling * Extensive experience in programme management, including change management and executive communication * Experience in managing people directly or indirectly; motivation for professional development and willingness to coach, mentor and train others * Superior networking skills and a proven ability to build productive and collaborative relationships with senior stakeholders and business partners * Proven capability developing presentations and business cases for executive audience * An understanding of procurement best practices, policies and tools * Experience working in or with procurement / supply chain preferred * Experience working with SAP tools preferred * High level of fluency in spoken and written English Preferred Qualifications: If you have the following characteristics, it would be a plus: * Located in UK or Poland preferred.
