These responsibilities include some of the following: Reporting to the Medicine Commercialisation Lead for Benlysta, the BENLYSTA Commercial Lifecycle Strategy Director is a critical role, responsible for developing and shaping the global BENLYSTA business and lifecycle strategy. Along with R&D and key country partners, you will help to determine the best way to commercialize future data and indications as we continue to establish BENLYSTA as a foundational treatment of choice for patients with lupus. Beyond R&D, you will also work across global Commercial, Medical and Market Access teams and country partners in the US, Japan, Germany and China to optimize the Benlysta life cycle. You will be the responsible for utilizing deep customer insights to shape Benlysta strategic plans, including accountability for brand segmentation and positioning, competitive scenario planning, commercial responsibility for drug development planning milestones, guiding long range forecasts, and delivering annual brand and operational plans. Why you? Basic Qualifications: We are looking for professionals with these required skills to achieve our goals: * Bachelor's degree and 8 years of marketing experience OR graduate level degree (MBA, PhD, PharmD, MPharm) and 5 years of marketing experience * Product launch experience in a marketing role * Experience in strategic global, regional and/or country-level commercial roles * Understanding of drug development, clinical trials and lifecycle management * Knowledge of and experience in brand marketing, including segmentation and positioning * Ability to work with complex clinical data to deliver science-driven commercial strategy * Customer (patient, HCP), marketplace, and competitor orientation Preferred Qualifications: If you have the following characteristics, it would be a plus: * Depth of experience working in one of the core markets (US, EU5, Japan, or China) * Strong leadership and communication skills, including demonstrated ability to influence a broad mix of stakeholders * Relevant experience with specialty products/biologics, ideally in immuno-inflammatory conditions * Experience in delivering strategic plans that translate analytics and research in to actionable insights and strategies * Experience working with and managing external marketing agencies and consultants * Previous BU Head / General Manager experience would be advantageous * Excellent written, analytical, and presentation skills * Ability to thrive in ambiguous environment and translate strategic direction in to action plans, under tight timelines * Possess good judgement in being able to distinguish between "good enough" and perfection Why GSK?
